Declaration by the Office of Prisons Administration in response to a report published in 22 "June" of 2021 by International Human Rights due to Torture of Children in Prisons of Afghanistan

The Office of Prisons Administration, with full confidence rejects the claim of Human Rights Organization that the arrested children are being tortured or abuse:

The allegations of child abuse mentioned in the report were completely baseless and no child in Afghan prisons has been convicted of any crime related to insurgents or opponents.

There are children in women's prisons because their mothers have been imprisoned for various crimes and these children are being cared by their mothers so that, school, educational and training facilities have been set up inside the prisons for them.

The educational environment of these children is perfectly similar to other schools outside the prisons where children continue their curriculum with great interest until the end of their mother's imprisonment. In addition, detainees and offenders under the age of 18 are also in the custody of juvenile correctional facilities in accordance with the laws of Afghanistan that These centers also have educational and training facilities that have all the equipment and training facilities available there.

The Office of Prisons Administration, in addition of rejecting torture in prisons, invites all observer organizations, including children and adults, to visit these centers and all centers of liberty in Afghanistan to refute allegations of child torture in the report of the World Human Rights.
